Distribution Center Supervisor (Easton, PA)

Second Shift 3:30PM-12:00AM

Reporting to the Distribution Center Manager or Assistant Manager, the Supervisor provides guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to a group of individuals (the team) for the purpose of achieving a key result or group of aligned results. The Supervisor monitors the quantitative and qualitative achievements of the team and reports results to the DC Manager. Direct Reports may include Team Leaders, Warehouse personnel, and/or Drivers. The Supervisor has decision making authority as delegated by the DC or Assistant Managers for work being performed in his/her area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day tasks of employees on the warehouse floor
  • Assist with setting trailers up for the day’s loads
  • Perform daily equipment inspections
  • Check safety of all loads before they leave the facility
  • Check all loads and orders to ensure no picking errors
  • Ensure all Driver paperwork is complete, accurate and filed in driver box for daily deliveries
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs
  • Ensure employee are adhering to safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Manage personnel issues and requests to include discipline and pay
  • Promote a positive team environment and increase employee engagement
  • Leads crew by example by loading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary
  • Performs administrative tasks as necessary
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations
  • Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for the crew
  • Acts as backup for DC Leader or Assistant Manager when needed

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in warehouse operations
  • 3-5 Years Leadership Experience
  • Class A CDL is required
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize time to meet deadlines
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) including Microsoft teams
  • Ability to communicate and operate electronically via smartphone (texts, email, calendar management, and other business-related apps)

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional climbing, kneeling, squatting and crawling
  • Frequent Bending, reaching, lifting, twisting
  • Frequent carrying of up to 35 pounds
  • Repetitive use of hands and feet
