- A new globally sourced seamless steel pipe list price sheet is now in effect.
- A price increase on metal conduit will be in effect Monday.
- Lack of raw materials, shipping delays, and freight increases are driving up pricing.
As a result of continued increasing input costs, we will be implementing a 10% increase on globally sourced seamless steel pipe products on Monday 4/5. Our new list price sheet is now available on our website for download.
Steel pipe mills abroad are facing many challenges which have resulted in increased costs for finished products. These include strong competition for raw materials needed for production along with higher costs for these materials. These increases, coupled with a shortage of containers (which is set to increase following a week-long backup of container ships at the Suez Canal) for ocean freight and longer unloading times at ports, have created a shortage in supply, while demand for these steel pipe products remains high.
Despite these supply chain challenges, we continue to maintain deep levels of inventory through our long-standing relationships with steel pipe mills. Place your regular, weekly orders of steel, copper, and PVC pipe to make our low minimum weights for FFA. We can help you manage inventory in these low and unpredictable volume scenarios. Call your Merfish United representative now for more information or to place orders.
Due to high demand, short supply, increasing costs for raw materials, and freight rates at a three-year-high, conduit manufacturers have announced a price increase going into effect on Monday.
