Copper Trading Up, Increase Effective Now

Update 11/23/20: Copper closed up at $3.29 on Friday, and Copper Tube mills announced a new list price sheet dated 11/23/20. You can download this sheet here.

Copper is up almost $.10 this morning close to $3.29/LBS, which is the highest price in over year and close to the highest level in five years. If it closes at these levels we will see, a price increase take effect next week.

Demand for Copper is rising across the world, as news of a Covid-19 vaccine fuels anticipation of a fully reopened economy. Even with some fears over lock downs and other restrictions as Covid-19 infections rise in parts of the US, vaccine hopes have increased demand for Copper outside of China, even as China continues to be the biggest consumer of the metal even during the pandemic.

More volatility is expected as the situation evolves. Please call your Merfish United representative for more information or to place orders now: 1-800-777-7473
